5 Things to Do in Our Lobby During Christmas Time
Our lobby is an extension of your home. Cozy-up in your favorite pajamas or dress-up in your most fancy attires and join us in this magical place during such a magical time at the castle: Christmas time.
Build in 1930 in only four short months, the 66 feet high fireplace located in the center of our gigantic lobby has six faces where more than 80 cords of wood are burned every year to keep the castle warm.
Here are five things to do in our lobby during your visit in Montebello this holiday season. Enjoy every minute.
1. Have Drinks or a Hot Chocolate
We say our lobby is the extension of your home; it is but just more glamorous. Our Bar Le Foyer located right in the lobby gives you food and beverage service right to your seat. Choose between an Old fashioned Montebello style, a Negroni or a special hot chocolate.

2. Play Board Games
Attention to all family members who gets very competitive playing board games. We got you covered. Available at the front desk or at the Concierge office, we have multiple board games for you to choose. From Scrabble to Monopoly and Uno, you are guarantee to have the best time whether you win or lose.
3. Visit Santa’s Claus (real) Workshop
A special surprise came to us this year. Santa Claus decided to have his workshop right in the center of Montebello in our lobby. Filled with thousands of letters from children, toys, teddy bears, elves; this magical Christmas décor will make you feel what the holidays are all about. Don’t forget to get a picture in Santa’s workshop!
4. Write a Postcard to A Loved One
Montebello is your home away from home. You might be thinking during your stay about other family members or loved one who could not make the trip and we understand. What a better way to let them know you are still thinking about them by writing a letter or a postcard in such a magical setting: the grand lobby of Fairmont Le Château Montebello. Postcards are available at our Boutique and you can mail your letter or postcard in our special mailbox. Santa’s elves will make sure to deliver them just in time.
5. Take a Picture in Front of the 25-feet Tall Christmas Tree
To all our influencers out there, we see you and our lobby will definitely get the curiosity out of your followers. Every year, our 25-feet tall Christmas tree is decorated by our maintenance team, who puts all their heart and creativity in this process. Our Christmas tree represents 12 hours of work, 3,500 lights and more than 40 years of tradition. This makes the perfect annual family picture.
